Microsoft Office Update...How?

Your Microsoft Office update can simply be done by making sure the Windows Update feature is set to automatic.

By making sure the Windows Update is set to automatically update, all software created by Microsoft will be updated which includes Microsoft Office.

So let's follow these steps to see whether Windows Update is set to automatically update:

  • At the bottom left corner of the desktop screen, select "Start".
  • Up to the middle to the right of the pop-up window, select "Control Panel".
  • If the right side of the Control Panel window's heading is "Pick a Category", and the left NavBar under "Control Panel" says "Switch to Classic View", select "Switch to Classic View".
  • In the control panel window to the right along the top row five icons from left to right, select "Automatic Updates".
  • Make sure that "Automatic (Recommended)" is selected.
  • By default, the automatic updates is scheduled every day at 3:00 am.
  • Select "Apply" and "OK".

So what have you just done? What you have done is to update on your computer all software from Microsoft.

This includes:

  • All versions of Microsoft Office for all applications.
    • Word
    • Excel
    • Access
    • PowerPoint
    • Outlook
    • FrontPage
    • Publisher
    • etc.

  • All versions of the Windows Operating System.
    • Windows 95
    • Windows 98
    • Windows ME
    • Windows NT
    • Windows 2000
    • Windows XP

  • All other versions of Microsoft applications.
    • Microsoft Money
    • Microsoft Programming Languages - C, Visual Basic, etc.
    • Windows Defender
    • Internet Explorer
    • etc.

So now you should be all set and not have to worry about not receiving the latest Microsoft Office update from Microsoft.

Most computers will probably have their Windows Update already set up to update automatically.

For whatever reason that Windows Update is not set to update automatically on your computer or someone else's computer, you know how to do it.
