Install Window XP Professional From CD-ROM

Why would you want to install Window XP Professional from a CD-ROM?

Especially when most computers bought from a retail outlet already has done an installation of Windows XP.

One of the reasons why you would want to do a Windows XP clean install would be because you found out you had a virus on your Hard Drive.

A friend of mine detected a virus on his system when 75% of his 80 gigabyte Hard Drive filled up with junk data.

If you tried to delete the junk data, the virus would replace the bad data with more of the same garbage.

Even with his paid protection service installed on his computer at the time, the company wanted another $100 to take care of this problem.

So just because you're paying for protection doesn't mean that you are guaranteed protection.

It means it's up to you to make sure you keep your system clean at all times and we'll cover this point at a later time.

The only way to get rid of the virus was to reinstall Windows XP after reformatting the Hard Drive.
