Why Buy a Desktop Computer?...

Why buy a desktop computer? When personal computers first started to become available to the public it was exciting to have a computer on your desk.

The next technology upgrade was the notebook (laptop) computer. As with all technology, the cost was too high for the general public to afford.

As a result, many couldn't afford to buy a notebook computer (laptop) so they settled to buying a desktop computer.

The prices of notebooks (laptops) have come down to where more people are buying them.

There are many people who still don't own a computer. They have relatives and friends asking them about buying a computer.

The demand for sending pictures through email and keeping in touch with friends and relatives is getting stronger.

Retirees are now wanting to receive and send email to their children and grandchildren.

After working with computers since 1960, my wife finally wanted to learn how to use computers so she could use email and send pictures of the family.

So I think people who never owned a computer before may want to buy a desktop first instead of a notebook (laptop) until they really get the hang of it.
